English Language Centre Cáceres (ELCC) se dedica a la enseñanza del inglés desde 1990. Fundada por Fiona Miller, una apasionada en la enseñanza del inglés comunicativo y que ha encontrado en la difusión del inglés su principal objetivo. ELCC es una academia de inglés consolidada en Cáceres, no solo por los treinta años de experiencia, o por los cientos de profesores de inglés de la región que han aprobado sus oposiciones después de prepararse en la academia, sino también por la constante y siempre innovadora forma de adaptarse a las nuevas formas de aprendizaje.
Hello, I´m Fiona, and I´m from the north-east of Scotland. I came to Cáceres in 1980, and founded the academy in 1990, one of the first in Cáceres. I´ve even taught the sons and daughters of my first pupils! More recently, all my classes have been preparing teachers for the “oposiciones”, but I still know the names of all the pupils in the school! The academy has grown bigger, but we still like our pupils to feel they´re getting special attention!
Hola, soy Fiona y soy del noreste de Escocia. Vine a Cáceres en 1980, y fundé la academia en 1990, una de las primeras en Cáceres. ¡Hasta he enseñado a los hijos e hijas de mis primeros alumnos! Más recientemente, todas mis clases han sido para preparar a maestros y profesores para las oposiciones, ¡pero aún conozco los nombres de todos los alumnos en mi escuela!
La academia ha ido creciendo, pero todavía nos gusta que nuestros alumnos sientan que se les presta una atención especial.

My name´s Audrey McGarrigle and I´m from Northern Ireland.
I´ve lived in Spain for more than 20 years. Life in Cáceres is perfect for me…the climate, the history, the culture, and its fantastic food…although I sometimes miss the famous Irish Stew!
I´ve worked here in ELCC for all this time as an English Language Teacher, with experience at all levels: kids, teenagers and adults.

He vivido en España durante más de 20 años. La vida en Cáceres es perfecta para mí, …el clima, la historia, la cultura, y su fantástica comida…¡aunque algunas veces echo de menos el famoso Estofado Irlandés!
He trabajado aquí en “English Language Centre Cáceres” durante todo este tiempo como profesora de lengua inglesa, con experiencia en todos los niveles: niños, adolescentes y adultos.

My name is Maribel, and I’m Spanish. I’m an English teacher in the “English Language Centre Cáceres”. I started teaching English in 1997 when I was at university and have been doing so ever since.
Being patient, empathetic and hardworking are my best qualities. They help me to encourage my students’ learning and to find the motivation to keep on teaching and learning.
In my free time, I like walking, dancing and chatting.

Mi nombre es Maribel, y soy española. Soy profesora de inglés en la academia “English Language Centre Cáceres”. Comencé a enseñar inglés en 1997 cuando estaba en la universidad y he seguido haciéndolo desde entonces. Ser paciente, empática y trabajadora son mis mejores cualidades. Me ayudan a fomentar el aprendizaje de mis alumnos y encontrar la motivación para seguir enseñando y aprendiendo. En mi tiempo libre, me gusta caminar, bailar y charlar.

I was born and raised in Canada, but also lived for some years in Scotland and then England before moving to Spain. I have taught English at Fiona´s academy for the past twelve years, and I also teach online and summer school courses on English Literature (Shakespeare, etc) for the University of Cambridge.
My main hobbies are dancing, reading, and walking in the mountains.

Nací y crecí en Canadá, pero también viví durante años en Escocia y después Inglaterra antes de mudarme a España. He enseñado inglés en la academia de Fiona durante los 12 años últimos, y también enseño online y doy cursos en escuelas de verano sobre Literatura Inglesa (Shakespeare, etc.) para la Universidad de Cambridge.
Mis principales hobbies son bailar, leer y caminar en las montañas.
Hi, I´m Will and I´m from a town in England called Stratford-upon-Avon, which is famous for being the birthplace of Shakespeare.
I´ve been working here at the academy for nearly 5 years, and teaching for 7.
In my free time I like watching football, as I´m an avid supporter of Manchester United.
I also love music: it´s the thing I´m most passionate about.
